UPSC Announces Results of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2024, held from 24th November to 1st December 2024. Candidates whose roll numbers have been listed in the official notification have successfully qualified for the Personality Test (Interview) stage.

Candidature Provisional
The eligibility of the shortlisted candidates remains provisional, subject to the verification of original documents supporting their claims of age, educational qualifications, community, reservation benefits, or disability status. Candidates are advised to keep these documents ready and ensure they were issued on or before the closing date for applications, 6th March 2024.

Personality Test Schedule
The Personality Tests (Interviews) will take place at the UPSC office, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. Dates for the interviews will be notified shortly, and candidates will be able to download their e-Summon Letters from the UPSC websites (https://www.upsc.gov.in and https://www.upsconline.in).

It is important to note that no hard copy of the Summon Letters will be issued, and requests for changes to the scheduled interview dates or times will not be entertained.

Mandatory Submission of DAF-II
All qualified candidates are required to fill out and submit the Detailed Application Form-II (DAF-II) online at https://upsconline.nic.in between 20th January and 27th January 2025 (by 6:00 PM). The DAF-II will require candidates to:

  • Indicate preferences for zones/cadres.
  • Upload documents for higher education, service experience, or achievements.
  • Submit OBC/EWS annexures, if applicable.

Failure to submit the DAF-II within the prescribed timeline will result in the cancellation of the candidature, and no correspondence regarding the same will be entertained.

Changes to Information in DAF
While no modifications to information in DAF-I and DAF-II will be allowed, candidates can notify changes to their address or contact details within seven days of the press note’s release via email, fax, or letter.

Post-Result Details
The mark sheets of all candidates will be available on the UPSC website within 15 days of the final result announcement, following the Personality Tests. These will remain accessible for 30 days.
