Uttar Pradesh DPC Recommends Promotion for 150 IAS Officers, Effective January 1

The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting held on December 17, 2024, under the chairmanship of Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh (IAS: 1988: UP), recommended promotions for 150 IAS officers out of a total of 154 discussed. The promotions, including selection grades and junior pay scales, will take effect from January 1, 2025.

Of the 154 officers considered, the names of four officers were excluded, with one officer’s case deferred due to an ongoing departmental inquiry.

2000 Batch Officers: Eight officers from the 2000 batch were considered for promotion. Seven of these officers have been elevated to the rank of Principal Secretary.

2012 batch Officers: 51 IAS officers, having completed 13 years of continuous service, have been granted selection grade.

2016 Batch Officers: 38 officers with nine years of continuous service have been promoted to the Junior Administrative Pay Scale.

2021 Batch Officers: 17 IAS officers from the 2021 batch, with four years of service, have been granted the Junior Pay Scale.
