According to state cabinet minister Nand Gopal Gupta, the Uttar Pradesh government signed 13 agreements with various companies offering investments totaling Rs 564 crore in the state during the Defence Expo 2022 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

He said on Wednesday that the UP Defence Industrial Corridor, which is being developed by it, will receive investments as a result of the MoUs that the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has signed.
The Defence Expo 2022 was inaugurated on Wednesday in the capital city of Gujarat by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Gupta, the industrial development minister, is repping the state. The minister noted that the state has “huge potential” in the industrial corridor for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in the defence armament sector. “With inspiration from the prime minister and under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is continuously moving forward in the field of industrial development,” the minister said.
The cabinet minister engaged with investors earlier in the day and educated them about the Defence and Aerospace Employment Promotion Policy, 2018 (Revised) after revealing the UPEIDA’s stand at the big event.
