Uttarakhand Government Announces Minor Reshuffle in Administrative Roles

The Uttarakhand government has undertaken a minor reshuffle in its administrative setup, with notable changes in key positions.

IAS officer Harishchandra Semwal, who was previously overseeing the Irrigation and Women Empowerment Department & Child Development, has been relieved of his duties from all charges due to health reasons.

IAS officer Chandresh Yadav from the 2006 batch, currently serving as the Secretary of Sanskrit Education and the Commissioner of the Revenue Council, has been given the added responsibility as the new Secretary of the Women Empowerment Department.

Meanwhile, IAS officer Dr. R Rajesh Kumar from the 2007 batch has been assigned a new role in the administrative hierarchy. Dr. Kumar, who was previously serving as the Secretary of Medical Health and Medical Education, as well as the Commissioner of the Health and PD-UK Health System Development Project, will now take charge as the Secretary of the Irrigation & Minor Irrigation Department.
