WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform owned by Meta, has rolled out a modified interface on iOS that introduces translucent bars, adding a touch of visual flair to the app.
According to reports from WABetaInfo, users can now enjoy a translucent tab bar and navigation bar when using WhatsApp on their iOS devices. The rollout of the translucent effect may not be immediate for all users, as indicated in the official changelog.
However, users can check if the feature is available for their accounts by simply opening any section of the application. It is worth noting that after downloading the new update, users may need to restart the app to fully activate the changes.
In addition to the interface tweaks, the platform has recently improved the sticker and GIF picker on iOS, which now includes an enhanced sticker tray with improved navigation. With the updated feature, users can easily access a larger grid of stickers and GIFs.
WhatsApp has also disclosed that 6.5 million problematic accounts were banned in India during May in adherence to the new IT Rules 2021, with 2.4 million being proactively banned before receiving user reports. WhatsApp is the most popular messaging platform in India, with over 500 million users.
