In a bid to ensure clean and fair elections during the Delhi Legislative Assembly Elections 2025, the Income Tax Department has reinforced its commitment to assist the Election Commission of India in monitoring and preventing the misuse of black money.
The Directorate of Income Tax (Investigation), Delhi, has established a 24×7 Control Room at the Civic Centre, New Delhi. The initiative is aimed at keeping a close watch on the movement of unaccounted cash, bullion, precious metals, and other valuables that might be used for electoral purposes during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.
Citizens are encouraged to share any credible information regarding suspicious activities on a toll-free number or through other contact options. Callers need not disclose their identity, and the confidentiality of informants will be strictly maintained.

The Control Room will operate round the clock throughout the duration of the Model Code of Conduct, from the date of election announcement until the conclusion of the elections.
