Maharashtra government has transferred several senior IAS officers to pivotal roles, aiming to bolster growth and streamline governance across departments.
Kunal Khemnar, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). Previously serving as the state’s Sugar Commissioner, Khemnar is now tasked with supporting industrial expansion and infrastructure development, positioning Maharashtra as a competitive business hub.
Mantada Raja Dayanidhi, a 2014-batch IAS officer who was serving as the District Collector of Sangli, will now take on the role of Joint Managing Director at the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). His experience in district administration is expected to benefit CIDCO’s urban planning and development initiatives.
Stepping into Dayanidhi’s former position, IAS officer Ashok Kakde has been named the new District Collector of Sangli. Kakde, who previously led the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training, and Human Development Institute (SARATHI) as its Managing Director, brings a wealth of expertise in research and development to his new role.
Meanwhile, Anmol Sagar, the former Chief Executive Officer of Latur Zilla Parishad, has been appointed Commissioner of the Bhiwandi Nizampur Municipal Corporation. Sagar’s leadership in rural development is anticipated to bring fresh perspectives to municipal governance.
