A 2010-batch IAS officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, Laya Madduri, has been appointed as Director in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance.
Before her central posting, Madduri held the position of Secretary in the Finance Department of Assam, where she also shouldered additional responsibilities as Managing Director of the Assam Financial Corporation.
