Government of India announces new High Commissioners to Belize, Kiribati

The External Affairs Ministry (EAM) has announced Palaniswamy Subramanyan Karthigeyan and Pankaj Sharma as India’s new High Commissioners to the countries of Kiribati and Belize respectively. Both of them were already holding positions and have been additionally selected to represent India in the two countries.

The Government of India has appointed Palaniswamy Subramanyan Karthigeyan (IFS 2004), as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Kiribati. He was presently High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Fiji.

Pankaj Sharma (IFS 1991) has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Belize, with residence in Mexico City. Sharma was presently Ambassador of India to Mexico. He has also earlier served as India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Conference on Disarmament, Geneva.
