Esha Srivastava, a 2004-batch IFS officer, has been appointed as the Government Nominee Director on the Board of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), effective from June 20, 2025.
Srivastava is currently serving as Joint Secretary (International Cooperation) in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG). A distinguished academic, she is an alumna of Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi, and holds an M.Phil. in Political Science from Delhi University, where she was also a Gold Medalist.
Her diplomatic career includes key postings in the Ministry of External Affairs, as well as assignments at the High Commission of India in Colombo, the Embassy of India in Paris, and the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO. From November 2016 to January 2019, she served as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Thimphu, Bhutan.
In addition to her current role at Indian Oil, Ms. Srivastava is a Nominee Director on the Boards of ONGC Videsh Ltd. and Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Ltd. She has previously held similar positions at GAIL (India) Ltd., Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd., and Bharat Petro Resources Ltd.
