The Chhattisgarh government has transferred 10 IAS officers, assigning them new responsibilities across various departments. The move aims to streamline governance and enhance administrative efficiency in key areas.
One of the significant changes involves IAS Ravi Mittal (2016 batch), who has been temporarily appointed as the Joint Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Mittal, who is currently serving as the Commissioner of Public Relations and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Samvad, will continue to hold these positions alongside his new role.
IAS Reena Babasaheb Kangale (2003 batch), the current Secretary of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department, has been entrusted with additional responsibilities. She will now oversee the Revenue and Disaster Management and Rehabilitation Department and take charge as the ex-officio Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and Commissioner of Land Records.
IAS Avinash Champawat, formerly Secretary in the Revenue Department, has been posted as the Secretary of the General Administration Department temporarily. He will also handle the additional charge of the Public Grievance Redressal Department.
Other notable appointments include IAS Ritesh Kumar Agarwal as the new Managing Director of the Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation and IAS Prabhat Malik as Joint Secretary of the Good Governance and Sustainability Department.
IAS Jayshree Jain has been appointed as Deputy Secretary of the Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department. IAS Deepak Kumar Agarwal takes over as Secretary of the Public Commission.
IAS Padmini Bhoi has been given charge as Director of the Pension and Provident Fund and also as the Registrar of Firms and Societies Departments. IAS Hina Netam will serve as the Director of the Tribal Research and Training Institute, while IAS Ashwani Dewangan has been made the Mission Director of both the State Rural Livelihood Mission and the Swachh Bharat Mission.
