The Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) has introduced pre-booking of parking spots on Janpath through an app, Mo Parking. The app will enable hassle-free and well-organized parking.
The 3.9 km long stretch dotted with rows of shops, malls, hotels, and commercial spaces on one side and government quarters and residential complexes on the other has now become smart Janpath as the parking issue has been solved with the help of an app.
Sanjay Kumar Singh, Chief Executive Officer, BSCL said, “Technology-based parking booking facility is a step towards smart living in Bhubaneswar. It will go a long way to check illegal parking and unnecessary harassment, consume less time, and decongest the stretch.”
The central smart parking system is installed at the ICOMC. It provides real-time information on the basis of a particular slot booked for a particular vehicle. The parking booking facility will address the parking challenge in busy Janpath.
BSCL officials said that parking software management operates on the company’s own fibre optic networks. The software can obtain information related to real-time parking space occupancy or availability.
