Hyderabad: Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare is all set to host the G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting 2023 from 15th-17th June 2023 at Hyderabad with a major focus on sustainability, climate smart agriculture, food security & nutrition, value chains & food systems, Maharishi (Shree Anna) and digitalization for agricultural transformation.
Through collaborative discussions and thought-provoking ideas, the attendees will be able to witness the transformative discussions shaping the future of global agriculture and uplifting the future of farming.
More than 200 delegates from G20 member countries, invited countries, as well as international organizations, will be attending the three-day event.
Hon’ble Minister of State, MoA & FW, Shri Kailash Choudhary will inaugurate the grand exhibition on day one followed by Agriculture Deputies Meeting (ADM). The exhibition will showcase the achievements of India in the field of agriculture and allied sectors.
The second half of the event will host two sessions parallelly titled- ‘Managing Agribusiness for Profit, People and Planet’ and ‘Connecting the Digitally Disconnected: Harnessing the Power of Digital Technologies in Agriculture’, which will be attended by the top Indian agriculture-based firms, start-ups, central and state government agencies.
The second day of the meeting will witness the participation of the Hon’ble Union Agriculture Minister, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, welcoming the Ministers and other heads of the delegation participating in the G20 meeting.
The discussions of the day will include the topic ‘Sustainable Agriculture for Food Security and Nutrition’ and High-level Ministerial Discussion on women-led agriculture, sustainable biodiversity, and climate solutions, in three parallel sessions.
According to Kishan Reddy, the G20 meeting of ministers of tourism would be held in Goa from June 19-22. He said a declaration on tourism, ‘Goa roadmap’ would be adopted at the G20 ministers meeting.
