The Jammu and Kashmir administration has recently transferred 11 officers to various new departments.
The move comes after the state faced a shortage in the number of officers available, after the central deputation of various Jammu–based IAS officers was mandated. To overcome this shortage, the administration put charges of multiple departments on its bureaucrats.
The officers of the previous J&K cadre are presently on deputation to the Centre and the UT of Ladakh. Here are few names of the transferred officers who were also given additional charges:
IAS Shaleen Kabra (1992 batch), who was given additional charge of the Financial Commissioner Revenue.
IAS P K Pole (2004 batch) was given additional charge as the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government Election Department.
IAS Yasha Mudgal (2007 batch) was given incumbent commissioner/secretary tourism department.
IAS Kumar Rajeev Ranjan (2010 batch) is now Administrative Secretary in the Labour and Employment Department.
IAS Bhupinder Kumar (2011 batch) was appointed incumbent Administration Secretary in the public works (R&B).
IAS Ramesh Kumar (2011 batch) was appointed as the incumbent Divisional Commissioner of Jammu.
IAS Mohammad Aijaz (2012 batch) was appointed as Administrative Secretary in the Planning Development and Monitoring Department.
IFS Suresh Kumar Gupta (1991 batch) was appointed as the Principal Secretary to the culture department.
IAS Vikas Kundal (2013 batch) was appointed as the incumbent Managing Director of the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited.
IAS Rahul Yadav (2014 batch) was appointed as the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner.
IAS Jatin Kishore (2020 batch) was appointed as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s secretariat.
