Assam Startup has added another feather to its cap as three of its incubated startups emerged as winners in the prestigious Startup Maha Rathi Challenge, held under the second edition of Startup Mahakumbh. The event, spearheaded by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) in collaboration with leading partners such as Avaana Capital, LetsVenture, HDFC Bank, IVCA, and Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), recognized breakthrough innovations from across the country.
Each of the three startups from Assam has been awarded ₹3 lakh for their sector-defining contributions:
- Quintinno Labs Private Limited – Electric Vehicles
Quintinno Labs is making headlines with QUINT, India’s first portable power bank for electric vehicles. Compact enough to fit in any car trunk, QUINT provides a backup charge of 35–40 km, addressing EV range anxiety and contributing to the nation’s shift towards clean mobility. - GrowHub – Connecting B2B Private Limited – B2B Sector
Focusing on Northeast India, GrowHub is building a cutting-edge B2B e-commerce platform that prioritizes ethical sourcing and sustainability. The startup is especially empowering local women artisans by offering a digital marketplace for their traditional handicrafts, blending technology with regional empowerment. - Dream Hives Pvt Ltd – Agritech
Dream Hives is bringing tradition to the modern table with its innovation in the agritech and beverage sectors. The startup produces Mead, a honey-based alcoholic drink infused with indigenous North-Eastern fruits and spices like King chilli, ginger, and pineapple—creating a unique, premium product rooted in regional heritage.
This recognition not only highlights the innovative spirit thriving in Assam but also reaffirms the state’s position as an emerging hub of entrepreneurship. The awarded startups are prime examples of how local innovation can gain national spotlight, paving the way for more visionary entrepreneurs from the region.
