In a recent administrative overhaul, the Telangana government has implemented a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, involving the transfer of 10 IAS officers. The realignment aims to optimize administrative efficiency and align the expertise of these officers with strategic roles across various departments.
Among the key changes, IAS Arvind Kumar, formerly serving as the Special Chief Secretary of Municipal Administration, assumes the role of Special Chief Secretary of Revenue (Disaster Management), relieving him of additional responsibilities as Commissioner, HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner, and Municipal Administration. This transition sees IAS Rahul Bojja taking charge as the Secretary of the General Administration Department, concurrently holding full additional responsibility as the Secretary and Commissioner of the Scheduled Castes Development Department, succeeding IAS V. Seshadri, who assumes the role of Secretary to the Chief Minister.
Further changes include the appointment of IAS M. Dana Kishore, the former Managing Director of the Hyderabad Water Board, as the Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration, succeeding IAS Arvind Kumar. IAS B. Venkatesham, formerly the Principal Secretary of the Backward Classes Welfare Department, assumes the position of Principal Secretary of the Education Department, with an additional charge as the Collegiate Education Commissioner.
Additionally, IAS Vakati Karuna takes charge as the Secretary and Commissioner of the Women, Child, Disabled, and Senior Citizens Department, succeeding IAS Shruti Ojha. IAS A. Vani Prasad, the former Principal Secretary of the Transport Department, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Environment, Forests, and Science & Technology Department, relieving Chief Secretary IAS A. Santi Kumari.
Further changes involve the reassignment of IAS Christina Z. Chongthu, the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, to the role of Secretary of Health and Family Welfare. Meanwhile, IAS T.K. Sridevi assumes the position of Commissioner in the Finance Department, succeeding Chongthu.
In a notable move, IAS C. Sudarshan Reddy, the Secretary of the Municipal Administration Department, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Hyderabad Metro Water Board, succeeding IAS M. Dana Kishore. Simultaneously, IAS R.V. Karnan, the serving Collector of Nalgonda, has been reassigned to the position of Director of Health and Family Welfare.
