The EdTech firm, Byju’s is planning to invest $200 million in offline tuition centres to cater students from grades 4 to 10. The firm has launched 80 centres across 23 cities and plans to increase it up to 500 centres across 200 cities in 2022. Byju’s had conceptualized its offline venture in 2021 after the acquisition of tutorial chain Aakash Education Services.
Chief Operating Officer of Byju’s Mrinal Mohit had said that a lot of parents wanted that their child should get access to offline centres and physical intervention. To heed the needs of parents, we have planned to expand offline through ‘Byjy’s Tuition Centre’ imbibing an omni channel learning strategy.

‘Byju’s Tuition Centre’ will be equipped with world-class online learning material and analytics-led assessment. Moreover, the presence of physical teachers helps in improving learning outcomes. 30 to 40 teachers hired and trained by Byju’s will be available at the centre. In addition, the offline centres will equip students with tablets to take assessments and courses online.
