Sandhya Venugopal Sharma Appointed Chairperson of Titan Company Board as TIDCO Nominee

Senior IAS officer Sandhya Venugopal Sharma (IAS: 1995: TN) has been appointed as the Chairperson and Additional Director on the Board of Titan Company, as a nominee of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).

She replaces Arun Roy, IAS, as Chairperson of the Board, while Roy will continue to serve as a Director on the Titan Board, ensuring continuity in governance.

Titan Company, a leading lifestyle and consumer goods company, is a joint venture between the Tata Group and TIDCO. Announcing the development, the company said that its Board, through a Circular Resolution dated December 29, 2025, approved Sharma’s appointment with the requisite majority.

According to the disclosure, Sandhya Venugopal Sharma will formally assume charge as Chairperson with effect from January 4, 2026.

Her appointment is expected to further strengthen Titan’s board leadership, bringing extensive administrative experience and policy insight, particularly in areas of industrial development, governance, and public–private partnerships.
