Civil Aviation Minister launched NITI Aayog’s Experience Studio of Drones

To promote the innovation and adoption of drones, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia, in the presence of NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, on Tuesday launched an Experience Studio on drones.

Addressing the inaugural event, Scindia said, “India will rise rapidly to become a global drone hub by 2030. India’s drone system is built on policy, incentives, and creating demand.”

He further added, “PM Modi has laid this mission for us and we are aggressively working towards making drone services easily accessible. India will soon witness a greater number of industries adopting and embracing drone innovation, which will eventually lead to a revolution that will touch the life of every citizen.”

Scindia also said, “The Drone Shakti initiative will commercialize the use of drones in different industries, while the Kisan Drones initiative will play a vital role in crop assessment, spraying of pesticides and insecticides as well as digitalizing of land records.”

NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant took it to Twitter, “Delighted to have been joined today by Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery for the launch of Experience Studio on drones. The studio will help showcase the potential of cutting-edge technologies, encourage innovation and accelerate their application.”
