New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for enhancing the collaboration between the two civil aviation authorities in the areas of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Innovative Air Mobility.
This MoU primarily focuses on the development of certification and environmental standards, licensing of personnel, air traffic management, and infrastructure standards, among other areas related to UAS and innovative air mobility operations.
The agreement will also ensure regular information sharing and strategies for outreach between DGCA and EASA, leading to a collaborative effort in conducting various conferences, workshops, and training programs in the area.
