Digi Yatra App Soars with Over 45.8 Lakh Users and 1.45 Crore Travellers

In a testament to its growing popularity and seamless functionality, the Digi Yatra application has seen a remarkable surge in users, crossing an impressive 45.8 lakhs as of February 10, 2024. This marks a significant 20.5% increase from the 38 lakhs recorded on January 1, 2024.

The breakdown of the Digi Yatra application user base as of February 20, 2024, showcases the platform’s widespread adoption.

  • Android Users have increased to 21.2 lakhs (as on 10/02/2024) from 17.3 lakhs (as on 01/01/2024), indicating a growth of approximately 22.5%.
  • iOS Apple Users have surged to 24.6 lakhs (as on 10/02/2024) from 20.7 lakhs (as on 01/01/2024), showing a robust increase of about 19%.
  • This brings the total number of Digi Yatra users to an impressive 45.8 lakhs as on 10/02/2024 from 0 Lakhs as on 01/01/2024 representing a commendable 20.5% growth overall.

Digi Yatra, an innovative I.T. initiative by the Ministry of Civil Aviation utilizing cutting-edge biometric verification technology, was initially launched at three major airports – New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Varanasi – back in December 2022. Since then, it has been rolled out in 10 additional airports across the country.

The cumulative count  of passengers who have embraced the Digi Yatra experience at airports since its launch is as follows:
