The rigorous initiatives by the government indicate that India will give a boost to edtech sector that has exponentially grown in the past two years. It has a plan to launch a digital university built on a hub and spoke model, and offer education in different Indian languages and formats. In the same context, Finance Minister said,
“A digital university will be established to provide access to students across the country for world-class quality universal education with a personalized learning experience at their doorsteps. The best public universities and institutions in the country will collaborate as a network of hub-spokes.”

The government has made a big announcement on the development of the PM eVidya one class-one TV Channel’ programme from 12 to 200 TV channels. The expansion will help all states to provide supplementary education in regional languages for classes 1-12.
Further, the launch of the DESH-Stack e-portal has been announced. It s a digital ecosystem for skilling and livelihood that will skill and upskill aspirants through online training and provide trusted skill certifications based on an application programming interface (API). In addition, in 2022-23 government is planning to launch 75 skilling e-labs for simulated learning environments.
With the growth in the edtech industry, learning will no more be constrained to classroom learning.
