IAS officer Gaurav Kumar, who previously served as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Prayagraj, has officially taken charge as the new Municipal Commissioner of Lucknow. He succeeds IAS Indrajeet Singh, who handed over the responsibilities in a formal ceremony held earlier this week.
The transition marks a significant administrative change for the Uttar Pradesh capital, with Gaurav Kumar expected to focus on strengthening urban infrastructure, streamlining civic services, and driving developmental initiatives in the city.
During the ceremonial handover, outgoing Commissioner Indrajeet Singh extended his best wishes to his successor and expressed confidence in Kumar’s leadership. Gaurav Kumar thanked his predecessor and stated that he is committed to enhancing public service delivery and addressing the civic challenges of a rapidly growing urban population.
