Mahendra Prasad Agarwal, a 1997-batch IAS officer, has been transferred and appointed as Principal Secretary of Forest, Environment and Climate Change. In his new role, Agarwal will oversee the department’s administrative and policy-related responsibilities.
The appointment places Agarwal in a key position overseeing matters related to forests, environment and climate change. As Principal Secretary, he will contribute to the department’s functioning and the implementation of its programmes and priorities.
