IRCON Secures ₹127.80 Crore Railway Signalling Project from Indian Railways

IRCON International Limited, a prominent public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has been awarded a significant contract valued at ₹127.80 crore by the Signal & Telecommunication (Construction) wing of North Western Railway, Indian Railways.

In an official exchange filing, IRCON announced that the contract involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a microprocessor-based Electronic Interlocking (EI) system, integrated with inbuilt block instruments as per RDSO specifications. The project will span 20 stations across the Ajmer Division and includes Automatic Block Signalling, along with associated indoor and outdoor works related to signalling and telecom systems/gears.

The execution timeline for the project is 24 months from the date of issuance of the Letter of Award (LOA).

In a separate development, Surendra Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of IRCON, has been repatriated to his parent organization, the Ministry of Telecommunication. His repatriation is effective April 12, 2025, upon which he ceased to hold the position of CVO and senior management responsibilities at IRCON. This change has also been formally notified through the company’s stock exchange filing.

IRCON continues to strengthen its footprint in infrastructure development through strategic project acquisitions in the rail and transport sectors.
