Ministry of Tribal Affairs collaborate with Meta to train 10 lakh tribal youngsters

Meta On Tuesday, the company formerly known as Facebook expanded its partnership with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to train 10 lakh tribal women and youth in digital skills.

The government minister for tribal affairs, Arjun Munda, stated that “digitally empowering India’s tribal people will considerably contribute to the socio-economic growth of the country and an important step towards developing a flourishing community of tribal leaders.”

Even the most disadvantaged populations in our society may be made digitally empowered so that India’s huge digital revolution can be completed, he continued.

The second phase of the “Going Online As Leaders’ (GOAL) Programme,” which was launched by the IT giant, aims to digitally upskill, connect, and empower 10 lakh youth and women from the country’s tribal areas.
