Nationwide Access to 2,000 Digital Services
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has achieved a major milestone by integrating e-Government services on DigiLocker and e-District platforms across all 36 States and Union Territories. This enables citizens to seamlessly access nearly 2,000 digital services—including certificates, welfare schemes, utility payments and other essential facilities—anytime and anywhere in the country.
Convenience, Efficiency, and Transparency
The broad integration accelerates the vision of the Digital India programme, offering paperless, mobile governance and directly advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). DigiLocker, recognized as a robust component of India’s digital infrastructure, has successfully solved challenges of interoperability, data security, and multi-stakeholder coordination. Citizens benefit from increased efficiency, inclusivity, and reliability through trusted digital access.
