The National Health Authority has introduced the module for nurses on Health Professional Registry (HPR) under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. With this Nurse Module, nurses delivering health services across modern and traditional systems of medicine can now enroll in Healthcare Professional Registry. The application received for the registry will be verified by the concerned councils. A health professional can register with HPR by registering on its official website using their Aadhaar card or Driving License.

Health Professional Registry is a comprehensive repository of all healthcare professionals engaged in providing healthcare services across both modern and traditional systems of medicine. Through the registry, healthcare professionals can onboard onto India’s digital health ecosystem and connect patients to healthcare providers or vice versa with last-mile coverage. HPR provides various benefits including a unique and trustable identity, online presence, and discoverability along with telemedicine and unified digital services.
NHA is also planning to enroll more categories of health professionals like Para-medicals, grass-root level community health workers (ASHAs), medical support staff, allied healthcare professionals, etc. in the registry.
