Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has inaugurated a satellite centre of IIM Shillong in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. As per the official release, the new satellite centre will aid in the capacity building of the administrative officers of the state, especially in the management skills and essential policy interventions. Pema Khandu, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh was also present on this significant occasion.

The official statement stated that it was not just an ordinary inaugural ceremony but a significant step towards professionalism in governance and public delivery.
Pradhan said, “With the expertise of a popular institution like IIM Shillong, capacity building of administrative officers will pave the way in successful governance, a key objective of the government.”
Chief Minister Pema Khandu said, “IIM Shillong will give critical managerial interventions to help the Arunachal Pradesh government successfully implement its flagship projects, as policymakers and administrators will be trained to enhance their efficiency and leadership skills.” He further added IIM Shillong as a think tank to the state government that will provide quality inputs for a more inclusive sustainable development in the states.
