As the government has noticed that most of the states are exiting from the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, Union Agriculture Ministry has roped in Common Services Centres (CSC) to promote the benefits of the scheme among farmers. The scheme will be promoted by organizing Fasal Bima Pathshala at village levels.

The Fasal Bima Pathshala is being organized under the ministry’s ‘Kisan Bhagidari, Prathamikta Hamari’ campaign which has been launched to celebrate the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.’ The campaign aims to engage farmers on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna and Kisan Credit Card schemes. It is scheduled to be organized through CSCs in 20 states and Union Territories including Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Haryana, Goa, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Manipur, Maharashtra, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, and Uttarakhand.
CSS’s MD Dinesh Tyagi said, “CSC endeavors to improve the lives of people residing in rural areas through varied interventions, with farmers and agriculture being an integral part of it.”
