NHPC signed a tripartite MoU with the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) & the Sports Authority of India (SAI) to launch a major CSR initiative – Shakti Saadhana – Empowering Weightlifters for Sporting Brilliance” on 16.06.25 at SAI headquarters, New Delhi in the presence of Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC.
Under this initiative, NHPC will provide support for the training of young weightlifting talent (aged 9–13) across 30 States/UTs in the country. The programme will include residential training, professional coaching, physiotherapy & other necessary facilities.
The MoU was signed by Shri Miren Kumar Verma, HoD, CSR & SD Division, NHPC, Shri Kamkhan Singh, Under Secretary, NSDF & Col. N.S. Johal, CEO (TOPS), SAI.
