NTPC Plans ₹80,000-Crore Investment in Telangana’s Renewable Energy Sector

Public sector giant NTPC is preparing to invest nearly ₹80,000 crore in renewable energy projects across Telangana, covering solar, wind, and floating solar ventures.

NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Gurdeep Singh, accompanied by senior officials, met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to present the proposal. The team noted that the state holds strong potential for floating solar generation, with an estimated capacity of 6,700 megawatts.

The Chief Minister welcomed the plan and assured NTPC of the state government’s full support in facilitating the projects, reaffirming Telangana’s commitment to expanding clean energy infrastructure.
