In a recent administrative development, Subodh Kumar Singh, a 1997-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary (PS) to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. Singh’s appointment follows his return to his parent cadre from central deputation, where he served as the Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel.
The General Administration Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh issued an official order confirming Singh’s new role.
Subodh Kumar Singh has an illustrious career, having served as the District Collector in several districts, including Raipur, during his earlier tenure in the state. He has also held pivotal roles in the Chief Secretariat during the tenure of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, overseeing several key departments and significantly contributing to the state’s administrative framework.
An Electrical Engineering graduate from IIT Roorkee, Singh also holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the same institute and an MBA from IGNOU, showcasing his strong academic background.
