Uttarakhand becomes first state in India to start ‘Bal Vatika’ as per New Education Policy.

With the opening of “Bal Vatikas” in anganwadi’s kendras all over the state to enhance the pre-primary education system, Uttarakhand on Tuesday became the first state in the nation to begin the process of implementing the Center’s New Education Policy. The “Bal Vatikas,” which are akin to private school nursery classes, will run at the 4,457 anganwadi kendras across the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhami stated that the New Education Policy’s implementation heralds the start of culture-based education in the nation, concentrating on students’ overall personality development.
According to him, the NEP will lay the groundwork for children’s futures that are robust and promising.

All the projects whose foundation stones are being placed during the tenure would be finished, according to Dhami, who lay the foundation stone of an NCERT building here.

The chief minister also mentioned the importance his administration places on beginning the process of developing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), a pledge he made before the state assembly elections earlier this year.

He claimed that by the time Uttarakhand celebrates its silver jubilee of independence in 2025, all of his government’s efforts will have been successful in establishing it as a premier state.

Speaking at the event, Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat stated that the NEP replaces the long-practiced Macaulay educational system. It gives kids the chance to pursue education depending on their own preferences. According to Rawat, pupils can now study the subjects of their choice in the language they are comfortable with.
