A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between WE HUB, the Government of Telangana’s first and only state-led incubator to nurture and promote women entrepreneurship, and Truecaller, a prominent global communications platform, to support women-led start-ups throughout Telangana. This is another another initiative by Truecaller to boost the presence of female entrepreneurs in the digital sector. In the presence of Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Telangana, IT E&C department, Ms. Pragya Misra, Director of Public Affairs at Truecaller, and Ms. Deepthi Ravula, CEO of WE HUB, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

The Government of Telangana has always fostered collaboration amongst organisations and believes in the potential and impact of supporting start-ups in the state, said Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Commerce & Industries and Information Technology Departments, who attended the event. The collaboration between WE-HUB and Truecaller will strengthen our dedication to this rapidly expanding industry and provide women founders and teams with committed support throughout their business journeys.
By extending its Software Development Kit (SDK) to startups, Truecaller hopes to enhance their user experience and spur growth through mobile number verification. The SDK has assisted numerous organisations in growing and expanding their operations and is meant to assist developers in creating top-notch verification infrastructure at breakneck speed. In addition, Truecaller will give emerging start-ups advertising credits worth $25,000 USD to help them gain awareness and market share for their goods and services. Hackathons will be held by WE-Hub and Truecaller to promote creativity and problem-solving. Truecaller will sponsor rewards and prizes to encourage greater participation. Leaders of the groups will also provide mentoring and other assistance as needed for startups and women business owners in the state.
Truecaller’s Director of Public Affairs, Ms. Pragya Misra, said on the project: “We are appreciative of the chance to work with WE-HUB and support Telangana’s vibrant, diversified, and collaborative startup ecosystem. As a platform, we are always changing and working to develop ourselves and the community. We are sure that the easy integration of the SDK and the increased exposure of these companies through Truecaller advertising will help the entire startup community. This is a new step in our mission to improve the security and effectiveness of communication.
WE HUB has been actively working over the past four years to enable women-led start-ups across sectors to develop and accelerate through access to global markets. WE-HUB has so far supported 238 female entrepreneurs of technology-enabled start-ups.
