Health experts said 35 percent of patients have to travel to other cities like Mumbai, Tamil Naidu, and Kolkata for better treatment.
Health professional from BBCI, Dr. Manigreeva Krishnatreya, “The higher cancer cases in the northeastern states of the country reflect the pattern of tobacco consumption among the adolescents and youths of the region. As per the student done earlier revealed that tobacco consumption among children aged 13 to 15 years accounts for 75.3 percent in Mizoram to 40.1 percent in Assam.”
