The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the curtailment of IPS Deepali Masirkar’s central deputation tenure as Director in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs following her appointment as Director (Security) at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). A 2008-batch Indian Police Service officer of the Nagaland cadre, Masirkar will take up the security leadership role at the public sector energy company under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
According to the order, Masirkar’s appointment as Director (Security) at ONGC will be for a combined tenure of seven years, extending until May 3, 2029. The appointment marks her transition from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to a senior security position within the oil and gas sector.
As Director (Security), Masirkar will be responsible for the security portfolio at ONGC, supporting the protection of the corporation’s personnel, assets and operational infrastructure.
