Night market to be opened in Varanasi under smart city project

A night market, ‘Taste of Street’ is soon opening in Varanasi, which will remain buzzing overnight. Under the Smart City Project, a night market is being made under the flyover in Varanasi on the lines of Indore at a cost of 10 crores. It is expected that this work will be completed by the end of this month.

There will be a total of 55 shops in this night market. Selfie points, mini-parks, parking, and public toilets will also be built. Varanasi Commissioner Deepak Aggarwal said that the market will be decorated in an area of about 2 km below the Lahartara, Chaukaghat flyover. Here visitors can enjoy a variety of Banarasi food and drink and will also get a glimpse of Kashi’s art and culture. For this, attraction painting is being engraved on the walls in the market.

Special arrangements will be made for tourists. Apart from the food court, special sitting arrangements will be made, where tourists can enjoy moments of peace. Apart from this, drinking water and other necessary arrangements are also being made in this market.
