Four IAS officers from the 2022 batch have been appointed as Assistant Secretaries in the Ministry of Defence at the central level. These appointments mark an important phase in their training and professional development. The Officer Trainees will be actively engaged in the daily operations of their assigned duties for eight weeks, from May 20, 2024, to July 12, 2024.
IAS Akavaram Sasya Reddy, from the Odisha cadre, holds a B.Tech in Civil Engineering and has recently completed her District training in Jharsuguda, Odisha.
IAS Arpit Chauhan, from the Maharashtra cadre, also holds a B.Tech degree and recently finished his District training as a Supernumerary Assistant Collector in Jalgaon, Maharashtra.
IAS Mohit Kasniya, from the Rajasthan cadre, with a B.Tech degree, has recently completed his District training as an Assistant Collector in Bundi, Rajasthan.
IAS Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak, from the AGMUT cadre, holds a B.Tech degree and has recently concluded his District training as a Resident Additional Collector in Khanvel, Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
During their eight-week tenure, these Officer Trainees will gain firsthand experience in the workings of the Ministry of Defence, contributing to various projects and initiatives. This practical exposure is designed to equip them with a deeper understanding of defence administration and policy implementation at the national level.
