The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) announced the selection of Sharmishtha Koul Sharma for the role of Director (Human Resources) at India Optel Limited (IOL), a Schedule ‘B’ Central Public Sector Undertaking. Sharma, currently serving as General Manager at IOL, emerged as the top candidate after a rigorous interview process involving 12 shortlisted applicants.
Her appointment is subject to requisite clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Once finalized, Sharma will step into the Director (HR) role, which has been vacant at IOL, where she will oversee the human resource functions critical to the organization’s success.
