The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for July 2024 have been released and are now available on the official GST website (https://www.gst.gov.in). The data, which includes both gross and net collections as well as Integrated GST (IGST) settlements on a state-wise basis, can be found under the ‘News and Updates’ section of the website.

In a significant move towards transparency and ease of access, the GST Council has announced that henceforth, monthly GST collection data will be regularly updated on the GST website. This initiative aims to provide taxpayers, policymakers, and analysts with timely and accurate information on the country’s GST performance.

Additionally, the website continues to offer comprehensive data on Central GST (CGST), State GST (SGST), IGST, and Cess. Users can also access state-wise data on collection and return submission, along with historical time-series details dating back to 2017. This extensive dataset is available under the ‘GST Statistics’ section in the ‘Downloads’ area of the website.

The regular updating and availability of this data are expected to enhance the understanding and analysis of GST trends and help in the formulation of effective tax policies. Stakeholders are encouraged to visit the website for the latest updates and detailed statistical information.
