An Indian fitness technology company, Goqii has raised $50 million in its SERIES-C funding round led by Sumeru Ventures. The round consists of a mix of equity including preference share and debt investments. The round also marked the presence of UK primary healthcare and community services provider Modality (Digitality), venture capital funds such as 9Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, and more.
Through the fund raised, Goqii will strengthen its current offerings such as wearable fitness trackers, an app store, real-time coaching, and insurance services. The funds raised will also be used to expand digital therapeutics and international markets.
Saumen Chakraborty, the Managing Director at Sumeru Venture said, “Health is a fundamental need which cannot be met with the traditional curative infrastructure alone. Goqii has been a significant contributor to the preventive healthcare ecosystem in India.”
