Indian Higher Education Ranking 2022

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) seventh edition is published today. Eleven categories—general, university, management, college, pharmacy, medical, engineering, architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), law, and research institutions—have been revealed for the NIRF India Rankings 2022. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru has been named the top institution in India by the NIRF Ranking 2022, followed by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI)

The categories in which institutes are ranked have grown along with the number of institutes taking part in the NIRF rankings each year. The number of categories in which the institutes were ranked grew from four in 2016 to eleven in 2017.
