The Kerela Arts and Crafts Village and Iraaloom, an e-commerce platform supported by the Kerala Startup Mission, have signed a memorandum of understanding to market eco-friendly handicrafts and handloom goods internationally.
According to the agreement, Iraaloom would be the first marketplace to display the goods produced by the Kerela Arts and Crafts Village, which is headquartered in Kovalam. a press release referred to the Kerela Arts and Crafts village. At a ceremony conducted at the craft Village, Iraaloom founders Harsha Puthussery and Nithin Raj and CEO of Kerela Arts & Crafts Village Sriprasad signed the Memorandum of Understanding. According to Harsha Puthussery, the arrangement “would enable bringing the handcraft and handloom items of local artists to the global stage.”
