New Delhi: Ravi Sinha, a senior IPS officer, has been designated as the Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), the nation’s foreign intelligence agency. Sinha is set to take over from Samant Kumar Goel, who will conclude his four-year term on June 30th.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Sinha as the Secretary of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for a period of two years.
Sinha is an officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) belonging to the Chhattisgarh cadre from the 1988 batch. Presently, Sinha holds the position of Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.
