In an effort to ensure a smooth travel experience and avoid potential inconveniences at toll plazas, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has advised Paytm FASTag users to obtain a new FASTag issued by another bank before March 15, 2024. This advisory comes in light of upcoming changes related to Paytm Payments Bank and to prevent users from incurring penalties or double fee charges while commuting on National Highways.
Following guidelines set by the Reserve Bank of India regarding restrictions on Paytm Payments Bank, users of Paytm FASTag will no longer be able to recharge or top-up their balances after March 15, 2024. However, they can continue to utilize their existing balance to pay tolls beyond this date.
For any additional queries or assistance concerning Paytm FASTag, users have been encouraged to contact their respective banks or refer to the FAQs provided on the Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) website. NHAI has emphasized the importance for all Paytm FASTag users to take proactive measures to ensure a seamless travel experience on the National Highways throughout the country.
