NITI Aayog Undertakes Special Campaign 2.0 For Disposal of Pending Matters And Swachhta

New Delhi: The Special Campaign 2.0 for disposal of pending matters and Swachhta took place under the supervision of the NITI Aayog and its associated offices, the Development Monitoring & Evaluation Office (DMEO) and the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM). These entities are located in NITI Bhawan, along with the autonomous institution known as the National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD) situated in Narela, New Delhi.

The campaign aimed to ensure the timely and effective resolution of public grievances raised by Members of Parliament, State Governments, Inter-Ministerial Consultations, and Parliamentary Assurances through Ministries/Departments. The “Special Campaign 2.0” of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan focuses on improving record management, cleanliness (both indoor and outdoor), and proper disposal of office scrap. Additionally, efforts are being made to free up space at NITI Aayog.

Under this campaign, there has been significant progress in handling Public Grievances, Parliamentary Assurances, and PMO References. A thorough review and disposal of a considerable number of files have taken place, resulting in cleared space and generated revenue through office scrap disposal. More than 75% of the total physical files earmarked for review have been assessed. Moreover, nearly 95% of public grievances and appeals have been addressed during this period. Additionally, redundant scrap materials and obsolete items have been identified for proper disposal.

In line with the vision of honoring the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and promoting a cleaner India, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) launched a special campaign to address pending matters from October 2nd to October 31st, 2021.

With the success of the campaign, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) made the decision to extend the campaign into 2022 and beyond, including 2023. Therefore, a Special Campaign 2.0 was initiated from November 2022 to August 2023. The primary objective of this campaign is to ensure the prompt and efficient resolution of public grievances, requests from Members of Parliament, State Governments, Inter-Ministerial Consultations, and Parliamentary Assurances by Ministries/Departments.
