The Union health ministry said on Tuesday that more than 50 lakh Covid vaccines have been administered to children aged 12-14 years. The total number of vaccines administered so far in the country has crossed 181.85 crores. As per the health ministry, more than 2.2 crore precaution doses have been administered to healthcare workers, frontline workers, and senior citizens. The daily vaccination tally is expected to rise with the compilation of the final reports.
The inoculation of children aged 12-14 years started on March 16, 2022.
The recovery rate currently stands at 98.75 percent in the country. The weekly positivity rate presently stands at 0.36 percent.
