In a major reshuffle in the country’s capital New Delhi, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday transferred 42 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS) and gave them new postings. As per the official order, 42 IPS officers of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre were transferred to new postings in Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Chandigarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.

Out of these 42 officers, Deputy Commissioner of Police Special Cell Pramod Singh Kushwaha and Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who have handled several cases related to terrorism, has been posted in Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir respectively.
The Delhi police anti-terror wing will work under new deputy commissioners of police (DCP).
After the abrogation of Article 370 to end the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, the Centre has made Jammu and Kashmir a UT and merged its cadre with AGMUT, allowing the transfer of J&K cadre to Delhi and other UTs.
