Just one hour before the commissioning of the state’s new international airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Jharkhand administration is rumoured to have moved as many as 18 IAS officers, including secretary, commissioners, and deputy commissioners, across various departments and districts.

After prominent IAS officers, like Pooja Singhal and Syed Riaz Ahmed, were recently imprisoned for corruption and misconduct, the state administration is receiving criticism.
